Feature Overview

The Import feature in Repricer allows you to download and upload either your entire inventory or segments of your inventory using a .CSV file. It is an easy way to manage your products in bulk, with the ability to specify values for fields such as Min Price, Max Price, Repricing Rules and many more.

1) Downloading Your Product Template

Before uploading a .CSV with new data, you first need to download your Product Template on .CSV file. This will include your products and a number of columns, allowing you to make the changes that you desire.

1A) Download Entire Inventory

Go to the Import page and select the Download Template button under Step 1. This option will download all of your products, across all of your marketplaces, into a single file. Note: For Repricer Extreme users with over 500,000 products, we will automatically split your products into files containing 500,000 products each).

1B) Download Specific Products From Your Inventory

Use the Products page’s filters to only show the products that you wish to include in your downloadable CSV template. Then click on Bulk Actions and select Download CSV Template.

2) Updating Your Products

When you have downloaded your CSV Template, you can open and edit it utilising any spreadsheet application, for example: Microsoft Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets, etc. To ensure that your template is processed without any errors, adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Do no change the file format: always remember to save your file as a .CSV
  • There are four required columns that must remain on your file to re-upload sucessfully. These four columns are: SKU, Marketplace, Merchant_ID, and FBA. All other columns are optional and can be removed.
  • For products that you wish to update, you must ensure that all required fields are populated, even if it is just with null (disabled) values. If you wish to make any changes to a specific product, you can just remove the whole row. A full definition of every field can be found later within this guide: CSV Template Fields.

3) Uploading your CSV File

When you are happy with the changes that you have made, save your CSV and upload via Step 3. You can simply drag and drop your CSV file onto the drop area or click on the drop area to choose a file from your computer.

You will see a green notification message if your upload was successful.

You will see a red notification and details of the error if your upload was unsuccessful.

Reference: CSV Template Fields

Within this section, you will find details on the various fields within the CSV Import templates.

Template Versions

Firstly, there are two different versions of the CSV template, depending upon your subscription:

  1. For Basic and Plus users

  2. For Ultimate and Extreme users

The reason for the two versions is that Ultimate and Extreme users have extra fields relating to these packs' additional features, such as cost-based repricing. You can find more details within the CSV Template Fields table below.

Types of Fields

Within both versions of the template, there are three types of fields: Required, Optional and Informative.

  • Required fields must be retained within the template and populated. Every single cell within a Required column must contain data.
  • Optional fields are not mandatory, so they do not need to be populated. However, making changes to the values in these fields will impact the data within your Repricer account. These are included to provide a greater level of control over product data.
  • Informational fields are included within the template to provide information to assist with editing other fields. These fields do not need to be populated and any changes to these fields will not be reflected within your Repricer account.
