Using Google Shopping, you can serve enhanced ads with high conversion that generally appear at the top of your search on Google. The following steps will get you started with Google Shopping, where you can attract new customers to your store and increase your sales.


Before you start

 
  • You’ll need to have a Google account. To find out how to create one, click here.

  • You’ll need to have a Webstore (Magento, Prestashop, Woocommerce, Shopify or Bigcommerce).


Note: If you’re having any trouble during your Google Shopping setup, don’t hesitate to contact the SupportTeam for assistance.
 

1) Link your Webstore to Repricer.com

The first step to start using Google Shopping will be to link your current Webstore to your Repricer.com account. These instructions tell you exactly what to do.

  1. Click on Google Shopping at the top of your screen.

  2. If you already have your Webstore added into your account, select it via the Select your existing channel for a quick start option. If you don’t, simply add it through ... or connect a new store from the list below


Note: if you choose to connect a new Webstore from the list, simply follow all the instructions on screen to get it setup. It’s really easy and you’ll be up and running in no time!


2) Confirming your webstore


After selecting or adding your Webstore, you will be asked to confirm your Webstore URL directly on screen and hit Continue.

After confirming your URL, you will be able to start setting up Google Shopping in your Repricer.com account 

Pro Tip: this screen explains all the requirements from Google to set up a Google Shopping account. We highly recommend that you read them first.


3) Select a Google account and authorize xSellco

Now that your Webstore is added to your Repricer.com account, it’s time to link your Google account to xSellco (the company behind Repricer.com). 

This is a very important step that will allow xSellco to utilise Google’s API to pull in your products, Ad Campaigns, campaign budgets, product/sales stats, etc.

 

4) Create a Merchant Center account

The next part of the setup is to create a Google Merchant Center account to use Google Shopping. You will be able to create a new one or link a pre-existing account. 

Creating a new account will be done automatically ,so you don’t have to worry about that.Note: If you already have a Google Merchant Center, this screen will ask you if you want to use that one instead.

Pro Tip: For best results, it would be recommended to create a new Google Merchant Center account rather than linking up an older one.


5) Create a Google Adwords account

Like with the Merchant Center account, you needa Google Adwords account to use Google Shopping. The next part of the setup is to automatically create one or link a pre-existing account.  


Again, this will be done automatically for you.Note: If you already have a Google Adwords account, this screen will ask you if you want to use that one instead.

Pro Tip: For best results, we recommend that you create a brand new Google AdWords account rather than linking up an older one. 
 

You have now connected your Webstore, selected your Google account, authorized xSellco, created your Google Merchant Center and Google AdWords accounts. Well done!

The next step of the Google Shopping configuration will be to add Conversion tracking, AdWords tracking, and Product Page tracking to your Webstore. 


Note: Conversion tracking, AdWords tracking, and Product Page tracking are snippets of code added in the backend of your Webstore that xSellco will use to track the results of your Google campaigns. With these, we’ll be able to display thorough data in your Repricer.com account and tell you exactly how your campaigns are performing. The configuration of this tracking will differ depending on the Webstore you chose at the start. 
 

  • Magento (version 1.0 and 2.0), Prestashop and Woocommerce


If you choose to use Google Shopping with one of these Webstores, you will be able to easily install a plugin that will automatically configure your Conversion, AdWords and Product Page tracking. 

You can simply follow the instructions on screen to get this plugin setup in your Repricer.com account.

 
  • Shopify and Bigcommerce

If you choose to use Google Shopping with one of these Webstores, you will need to manually configure your Conversion, AdWords, and Product Page tracking.
