Competitor Insights is a feature that allows xSellco Repricer customers to view their most aggressive competitors and quickly create tailored rules to beat them. Win the BuyBox more often by actively targeting your rivals.

Competitor Insights provides you with an in-depth analysis on how you are performing on a specific Amazon channel.
The page is split into two sections, ‘My Marketplace’ and ‘My Competition’.
In ‘My Marketplace’, you can choose which Amazon store to focus on. Choose from the dropdown to choose a store.
|After selected we can quickly see the total
number of your SKUs that are currently
winning the BuyBox on this channel, as
well as your total number of SKUs with
the lowest price. Then we are also
presented with the total number SKUs
you have on this channel.
We can use this information to get an overall view of our channel.
Are we winning the BuyBox on more SKUs then with the lowest price?
This could show us that the lowest price is not something that is important to the majority of our inventory.
Are we winning the lowest price but not winning the BuyBox?
This could mean we need to look at other sections of the BuyBox as we are winning on price. We may need to focus on feedback. Since you are already using Repricer you can get a 14 day trial of our Feedback tool. To find out more click here.
The competitive advantage with this feature is found in the ‘My Competition’ section. Here you have the ability view a list of your top 10 competitors and target them based on these insights. Your competitors are listed in the first column and will be in order, from strongest competitor downwards.
In the following column you can access and view your SKUs which your competitors are currently beating you on the BuyBox. Therefore you are losing the BuyBox to these direct competitors.
In this next column you can access and view your SKUs which your competitors are currently beating you on the lowest price. Therefore you are losing the price to these direct competitors.
This show the number of SKUs this competitor is beating you on the BuyBox/Lowest pric . By clicking on the ‘SKU’ number in blue, you will be brought to the products page and be presented with the list of these SKUs. From this window, you can make any adjustments you see fit to individual SKUs.
The Overlap column shows the percentage of overlap with your inventory that this competitor is winning the BuyBox/Lowest price. Overall this is how much of your inventory your competitor is taking the BuyBox/Lowest price away from you.
The Overlap column shows the percentage of BuyBox/Lowest price overlap you are sharing with your competitor. This simply means you have the BuyBox/Lowest price for a period of time before it switches to your competitor. It will eventually come back around and you will own the BuyBox/Lowest price again. (where do we get this data?)
Theirs vs My FBA
With this column, we can see the split between your competitors SKUs that are FBA and your SKUs that are FBA.
Finally, this’ column shows the competitors average sales price per SKU.
This is where the Compeitiors tab can power more sales. Using the ‘Target Competition’ feature, you can create multiple unique rules, and strike back at your competitors.
Think of this compete rule as a sub-rule which is bolted onto your existing rules.
By clicking on ‘Target Competition’, the ‘Create Competitor Rules’ box will open. From this menu, you can create your own unique compete rule to specifically target this competitor.
You can choose which repricer/strategy you want to add this additional competitor rule to. This is a single existing competitor rule which is added to your repricer/strategy.
Your current selected marketplace is set. You have the option of including other marketplace channels.
You can select the order in which this rule will be read when an event takes place. If you want to prioritize this competitor rule ensure it is set to “Insert this rule first in the list”. If you want other potential competitor rules to match before this rule is applied you can “Append this rule to the end of the list”.
Now you get to choose how you want to compete. With this new scenario, how to we want to reprice against this competitor.
The next settings are additional filters we can use based on FBA settings, Stock levels, Stock age, Shipping, etc. Use a combination of the settings to set unique and laser focused rules.
When you are happy with the details you have entered, click on the ‘Create complete rules for …’ button to put your rule into action.
