When you create a rule and/or message, we set the status of it as inactive. This means that messages will not automatically send.

Once you're happy with your rules settings and your message content, you can 'activate' to start sending emails to your customers.

Things to note:

  • A rule contains messages.
  • When a rule is active, the associated active messages are sent. The associated inactive messages are not sent.
  • When a rule is inactive, ALL the rule's associated messages are not sent (even if they are set to active!).

How do I activate or deactivate my rule?

  • Click on the Rules and Messages page menu on the left side.
  • Click into the rule you want to change the status of.
  • On the top right corner, you'll see an 'Active' toggle button.
    • Green makes the rule active.
    • Grey makes the rule is inactive.
  • Click, save changes

How do I make sure that my message is sending?

  • When your rule is active and the message is active, your message is sending.

My rule is inactive but my message is active, is my message sending?

  • No. The rule's status overrides the message status. All messages associated to an inactive rule will not send.

My rule is active, but the messages in the rule are inactive. Is anything sending?

  • No, because the message is set to inactive.
